No family history is ever really complete. The story doesn't stop with the publication of a volume such as this. It continues throughout the days of our lives.
I have made every effort to ensure that the information contained in this volume is accurate, but if there are errors or omissions, I apologize for them and encourage readers to let me know about them so the record can be corrected.
I am grateful to the many who assisted me in the gathering of this material, particularly members of the family who answered my persistent letters and phone calls. Please continue to keep me informed of births, marriages and deaths in the family so that future editions of this history can be more complete than this one.
I especially appeciate the patience and support of my wife, Linda, and my sons, Tavis and Conor, during the completion of this project.
