The Tweedie Stone at Peebles
One of the oldest stones in the Graveyard. It was reported to bear the names of John Tweedie, Provost of the Burgh (from 1703 to 1707) who died 1712 and another John Tweedie who died in 1699. Also mentions wives and children but the inscription is now obliterated.
