Lawrence Tweedie (married around 1824) of Kelso

 Lawrence Tweedie (LM.1824) of Kelso, a dairyman. Married Margaret Clerk around 1824 and they had issue -
  1. Lawrence Tweedie (LM.1855) Born 1826. A farm worker. Married Margaret Stewart at Roberton, Selkirk in 1855. She died at Hawick, Roxburgh in 1923. He died in 1887 at Hawick. They had issue;
    1. James Tweedie (Jx.1876). Born 1856 at Roberton and died 1941 at Hawick.
    2. Lawrence Tweedie(). Born 1858 at Roberton. Assumed to have died as a child.
    3. Agnes Hilson Tweedie (). Born 1859 at Roberton.
    4. Jessie Fleck Tweedie (). Born 1862 at Roberton.
    5. Margaret Stewart Tweedie (xM.1884). Born 1864 at Wilton, Roxburgh. She died 1949 at Hawick.
    6. Annie Tweedie (). Born 1864 at Wilton, Roxburgh. Assumed to have died as a child.
    7. Lawrence Tweedie (Lx.1878). Born 1868 at Wilton, Roxburgh. He died 1912 at Hawick.
    8. Ann Tweedie (xA.1887). Born 1872 at Wilton, Roxburgh. She died 1947 at Hawick.
    9. Thomas Tweedie (). Born 1874 at Wilton, Roxburgh.
    10. Betsy Tweedie (AB.1900c). Born 1877 at Wilton, Roxburgh. She married Andrew Hislop around 1900 and died in 1951 at Hexham, Northumberland. They had issue -
      1. Margaret Stewart Hislop () Born 1903 at Hawick.
      2. Grace Murray Hislop () Born 1905 at Hawick.
      3. Andrew Hislop (). Born 1908 at Hawick.
      4. Lawrence Tweedie Hislop (). Born 1911 at Hawick.
        1. Betsy Hislop (). Born 1936 and married ?? Newell.
        2. Florence May Hislop (). Born 1937.
        3. Grace Jane Hislop (). Born 1944.

Note: Lawrence Tweedie (LM.1855) may have born in 1825 the son of Laurence Tweedie (LJ.1818) and Jean Affleck (not Margaret Clerk) in the parish of West Linton, Peebles. This is also the parish where his wife Margaret Stewart was born in 1835. The information regarding Margaret Clerk is apparently given at Lawrence's death and therefore may not be accurate.
