We have been researching the history of the family for more than twenty-five years. During this time we have gathered a large amount of information on the family and started this Internet site with the objective of making the information available to others interested in the subject.  Living in the south-west of England, we visit the Scottish Borders every year to further our knowledge of this picturesque and un-spoilt area and would encourage anyone interested in the family to go there. We welcome correspondence on the family, particularly if you can contribute to the information. Because of the pressures of earning an income, replies are sometimes not made as quickly as we would like.
